Code Optimization: Writing Readable and Maintainable Code

Part of being a great engineer is being able to write quality code that can be read and maintained by other engineers.

When we write code as software engineers, regardless of what we're fixing or building, we get plenty of context before diving in.

We may be able to maintain and read our own code well, but other engineers (who don't have the same context we did) also need to be able to. Code optimization is crucial for many reasons, but today we're going to talk about the importance of optimizing for readability and maintainability.

Hear how our CEO and Founder, Sophie, suggests optimizing your code so other engineers can read and maintain it down the road.
