What to expect
This program was built to provide college students with a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives graduating in December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2028 with the technical training, senior engineering mentorship, and career coaching they need to prepare them for Netflix Intern SWE roles.
Time is a student’s most valuable asset. Formation program participants are able to move through their exercises at any time of day they'd like. The program is an intensive, hands-on experience requiring a minimum of 15 hours a week and participants can opt-in to the maximum 40 hours a week. The program is 100% remote and requires applicants to be fully dedicated to the program in order to be considered.

Step One
Apply
The program is designed for undergraduate students from a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives graduating in the December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 completing a BS/BA in Computer Science or CS-related degree (Engineering, Math or Statistics).
Applicants must submit an application and complete a coding benchmark assessment. Applicants selected to move forward will interview with a Formation Recruiter in March 2025. Students selected for the program will be notified by April 4 2025.

Step Two
Get a personalized training plan to address your skill gaps
Built by senior engineers from FAANG companies, the program uses adaptive learning technology to diagnose your skill gaps and create a training plan to get you to the Netflix Intern SWE hiring bar (and in turn, prepare you for other top-tier tech company interviews).
Each student will also be matched with a Netflix Engineer for 1:1 Mentorship!

Train For Netflix Internship Engineering roles
Work with senior engineers who provide detailed and actionable feedback during 1:1 and small group technical sessions. Get unlimited mock interviews with practicing engineers from top companies until you are consistently meeting the Netflix SWE Intern performance bar.

Interview at Netflix
Participants who are fully dedicated to the program and meet the high skill level bar will have the opportunity to interview for a Summer 2026 Intern role at Netflix in the fall (September 2025). While employment at Netflix is the primary goal, it is not guaranteed.
